VAT before payment
The buyer sees the tax-inclusive total on screen before any card details are typed. No surprise at the last step.
features / checkout
VAT shown before payment. Prices from your catalogue. No code.
You create a product, mavi pay gives you a checkout page. Your buyer sees the full price — VAT included — before they pay a cent, and the amount always comes from your catalogue in our database, never from anything the browser sends.
the mental model
Most carts show a price, then spring the tax on the buyer at the last step. Ours works the other way round: the full price— VAT worked out for the buyer's country — is on screen before any card details are typed.
The price itself can only come from your catalogue. The browser may ask to buy; it never gets to say what something costs. That closes the oldest trick in web selling — editing the price in the page.
When payment clears, the sale, invoice and VAT records are written exactly once, on an integer-cent ledger, with a sequential invoice number like MAVI-2026-000001. A retry can never create a second sale.
Four properties every checkout claims. Ours are enforced by where the numbers live, not by promises.

Every amount is read from your products in our database. The browser can ask to buy; it never gets to say what something costs.
Create a product, share the link. The checkout page is hosted by us — nothing to embed, nothing to deploy.
Cards work today in test mode. iDEAL, SEPA, Bancontact, Apple Pay and Google Pay arrive with v1.
Name, price and what to deliver. That row in your catalogue is the only source of truth for the price.
The checkout page is hosted by mavi pay. Put the link in your site, your bio, or an email — nothing to build.
VAT is calculated for the buyer's country and shown before payment, not after.
Sale, invoice and VAT records are written exactly once — safe against retries — and the invoice gets its sequential number.
the honest part
Right now checkout runs in test mode and takes card payments. iDEAL, SEPA, Bancontact, Apple Pay and Google Pay are arriving with v1 — we list them as coming, not as live, because they aren't yet.
What is fully real today: VAT shown before payment, prices read from your catalogue, and sale, invoice and VAT records written idempotently to an integer-cent ledger.
