Four rates, one table
Start free on either plan. The paid upgrade lowers your per-sale fee.
| Plan | Monthly fee | Per-sale platform fee | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Person — free | €0 | 5% | solo sellers making their first sales |
| Person — €9·mo | €9 | 3% | solo sellers past €450 a month |
| Business — free | €0 | 4% | studios and companies getting started |
| Business — €29·mo | €29 | 2% | companies past €1,450 a month |
When does a paid plan pay off?
Both upgrades save you 2% on every sale. Divide the monthly fee by that saving and you get the exact point where paying us monthly becomes cheaper than staying free.
| Upgrade | Monthly fee | Fee saved per sale | Pays for itself at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Person — €9·mo | €9 | 2% (5% → 3%) | €450 / month in sales |
| Business — €29·mo | €29 | 2% (4% → 2%) | €1,450 / month in sales |
Person
Sell more than €450 a month and the €9 plan is the cheaper choice. Below that, stay free — the free plan costs you less.
Business
Sell more than €1,450 a month and the €29 plan is the cheaper choice. Below that, the free Business plan wins.
A €10.00 product, sold to a buyer in Belgium
Belgium charges 21% VAT on digital goods. Here is the same sale on every plan, to the cent.
| Person free (5%) | Person €9·mo (3%) | Business free (4%) | Business €29·mo (2%) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Your price (net) | €10.00 | €10.00 | €10.00 | €10.00 |
| VAT (21%, Belgium) | €2.10 | €2.10 | €2.10 | €2.10 |
| Buyer pays | €12.10 | €12.10 | €12.10 | €12.10 |
| Payment gateway fee | €0.50 | €0.30 | €0.40 | €0.20 |
| You receive | €9.50 | €9.70 | €9.60 | €9.80 |
The VAT never touches your money — we collect it and remit it as merchant of record. Payment gateway fees (processing costs) are shown white-label — never as a third-party brand name.
Additional fees, stated plainly
Three costs sit outside the platform fee. We would rather you read about them here than find them on a statement.
Processor pass-through
The underlying payment processor charges a cost per transaction. We pass it through at cost — we do not profit on it.

When a buyer disputes a charge, the processor levies a dispute cost. We pass that on and keep dispute-ready records for you.

Sales settled in a currency other than yours carry a conversion cost from the processor, passed through at cost.

Only when you make a sale. The free plans have no monthly fee at all — the platform fee is taken from each sale as it happens. On a paid plan you pay the monthly fee plus the lower per-sale rate. No sales, no per-sale fees.
Nothing comes out of your price. You set a net price; mavi pay works out the VAT for the buyer's country, adds it on top at checkout, collects it and remits it — that is what being a merchant of record means. The platform fee is calculated on your net price, not on the VAT.
Yes, in either direction. Move from free to paid when a paid plan pays for itself, or back to free if your volume drops. Your rate changes with the plan; there is no lock-in and no penalty for switching.
When you refund a sale, the buyer gets the full amount back — including the VAT they paid. How the platform fee and processor pass-through costs are treated on a refund will be published with the final numbers before launch, so you can read it here rather than discover it later.
Before launch. Every rate on this page carries the provisional mark until our accountants have signed the numbers off. The final rates will be published on this page, and anyone already selling with us will be told before anything changes.
Start free. Upgrade when the maths says so.
No monthly fee until a paid plan actually saves you money — and this page will always show you exactly when that is.
